Applications are invited from the eligible candidates are invited for one position of Ph.D Scholar @ Rs. 8000/- p.m. fixed + HRA provided in the scheme entitled “Preparation of crop planning, extension and marketing strategies of agricultural produce for optimum water use to realize higher productivity and income to the farmers in the command area of rehabilitation of Patiala feeder and Kotla branch project, Punjab, CSS-63(PC-6259)”. The desirous candidates fulfilling the qualifications should send their applications on the plain paper complete in all respects, along with attested copies of testimonials and a bank draft for Rs. 100/- in favor of the Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana payable at Ludhiana to this office on or before 12.06.2018 and interview will be held on 18.06.2018 at 11.00 AM in the office of the undersigned. No Separate letter will be issued. The original copies of testimonials should also be brought at the time of Interview. NO TA/DA will be given for attending the interview.
Essential Qualifications:-
B.Sc. (Agri.)/ B.Sc (Hort.)/ B.Sc (Forestry)/ B.Sc with minimum OGPA 2.00/4.00 or 50% marks.
M.Sc. in Extension Education/ Agri. Economics with minimum OGPA of 3.40/4.00 or OCPA 6.50/10.00 basis or 65% marks.
Pursing Ph.D in Extension Education/ Agri. Economics and must have completed one year of the degree programme.
Preference/Selection:
Candidate with Ph.D research problems related with irrigation water input in field crops in the districts in the districts of Barnala, Bathinda, Mansa and Sangrur.
The scholarship is purely temporary and initially awarded for a period of six months which may be extended for a further period of six months at a time or till the termination of the scheme whichever is earlier.
How To Apply
The last date for the receipt of applications duly complete in all respects in this office is 12.06.2018. The incomplete applications unsupported by the requisite documents will not be entertained. The candidates should appear before the selection committee for interview on 18.06.2018 at 11.00 a.m. in the office of the undersigned. No separate letter for interview will be issued. The original copies of the testimonials should also be brought at the time of interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
The Ph.D Scholar resigning the scholarship shall have to give one month notice or one month salary in lieu of one month notice. However, this will not hold good in respect of other assignments in the PAU.
